The crescent moon only appears close to the horizon. As she waxes and wanes, she approaches the zenith. One of the brightest objects in the sky, Venus, always stays close to the horizon, too. For millennia, Venus, goddess of love and attraction, and of feminine beauty, has being invoked with the image of the crescent moon and a brilliant star. The moon is also a goddess, and together they play a music of the spheres that invokes the eternal feminine. Like women going through their cycles, Venus appears once as the evening star, and again as the morning star. And like the romantic feelings that she governs, Venus appears and disappears. In this, she teaches men, who watch her like star gazers watch the skies, to be patient, and to let her move where she will. With time, she always returns.
