Sri Yantra is an ancient Hindu symbol that represents movement through the male and female aspects of consciousness into the truth at the center. It is made of five downward-pointing triangles, and four upward-pointing ones. The five triangles represent feminine aspects of consciousness, and the four represent the male ones. In the center, there is a point, called a bindu, which represents the place where everything becomes one. The pattern of Lotus petals around it show that its meaning is a sacred one, and the square around it is symbolic of the four corners of the earth. Living in this world, pursuing purity, and moving into the self is the way to become one with all.
